Prendiville Group has unveiled Lido, a fully renovated, open-air poolside dining hub at the Leea hotel in Darwin that will officially open next month.

The opening of Lido on October 12 marks the completion of the first stage of The Leea’s 18-month transformation of the former Travelodge at 64 Cavenagh Street.

The venue consists of three areas: The Garden, Poolside Deck and Indoor Caffè, with attention to detail at every point to create an inward-facing oasis in the heart of Darwin’s central business district.

On The Lido Deck, guests can sip Limoncello and Negroni amongst palm-filled gardens with views of the pools, and enjoy fresh, seasonal dishes crafted from locally sourced produce.

At Lido’s helm is executive chef Samantha Bennett, an award-winning chef and Darwin local who brings an innate knowledge of the Territory’s produce to her craft. Prendiville Group director of food Russell Blaikie oversaw Lido’s menu.

Design agency Collectivus led the redesign of the 168-room hotel. The agency drew on the Top End’s natural beauty to create a contemporary aesthetic of natural light, layered earthy tones, warm neutrals and natural greens.

“As the travel market shifts and Darwin welcomes a growing wave of corporate and leisure travellers, Lido offers a sophisticated and breezy space where wellness doesn’t need to take a back seat on a business trip, and guests can settle into that laid-back Territory pace,” Prendiville Group Regional CEO Garrett Prendiville said.
