Club Med has unveiled a major transformation to its resort on Bintan Island with a focus on elevating the modern family holiday.

The transformation of Club Med Bintan redefines the guest experience through newly curated lifestyle spaces and family-focused additions.

The resort, which sits on the sunny shores of Bintan Island, just a short ferry ride from Singapore, has rolled out the renovation in phases, redesigning its Superior, Deluxe and Suite rooms and introducing brand-new Deluxe Themed Rooms inspired by the island’s natural surroundings.

“This transformation at Club Med Bintan comes at an exciting time, with the resort seeing strong demand from the Pacific market with sales up 47 per cent year on year for 2026,” Club Med Pacific and New ESAP Markets general manager Michelle Davies said. “As Club Med continues its shift towards a 100 per cent upscale strategy, these renovations mark a new era for the resort and the brand.”

Resort highlights

• Splash Pad – a new aquatic play area for young children in the main resort centre
• Amazing Family! Hub – the brand’s first such facility in Asia, spanning 300 square metres with an indoor playground, activity zones and lounge spaces
• Epic Explorer Trail – a self-guided family trail using an Explorer’s Passport, with stamps and a surprise reward on completion
• Dining upgrades – a revitalised Panorama Barista Bar overlooking the South China Sea, the Terrace Gourmet Club and the new Grill Gourmet Club
• Sports offering – more than 20 sports and activities, including Flying Trapeze, archery, and new Padel and Pickleball courts

Club Med has built sustainability into the renovation, drawing on natural materials, textures and colours reflective of Bintan’s landscape. The resort holds Green Globe certification and runs a single-use plastics elimination programme, an on-site turtle conservation initiative and a food waste reduction system.

Club Med has flagged further improvements at the resort through to 2027 as it continues to build out its premium all-inclusive positioning.
