Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) has unveiled launch parking rates starting from just $15 a day as it prepares to welcome its first passengers next month.
The new Nancy-Bird Walton Airport will offer long-stay parking from $15 a day, alongside Saver parking from $29 and Premium parking from $49.
The launch pricing gives WSI a potentially significant point of difference from Sydney Airport, where parking rates vary depending on the car park, length of stay and whether passengers book online in advance.
WSI’s rates will be available for travel from 25 October 2026 until the end of April 2027, with further discounts promised for passengers who book online or stay for longer periods.
The airport is also offering three hours of free parking for visitors who want to experience the new terminal after it opens.
Bookings for the free parking offer will open on 12 October for visits from 26 October and will be available for a limited time.
“We are thrilled to offer people the opportunity to come and experience their newest airport, free of charge, with three hours free parking from launch,” WSI CEO Simon Hickey said.
“The majority of passengers typically travel to and from the airport by car, so we’ve focussed on delivering a great product that provides choice and flexibility for our customers.”
More than 6,000 parking spaces will be available across WSI’s Premium, Saver and Long-stay facilities.
Premium and Saver parking will be located within a two-to-three-minute walk of the terminal, while passengers using Long-stay will have access to a free shuttle bus.
A free 15-minute express pick-up and drop-off zone will also be available.
Passengers booking online can enter their licence plate details, with licence plate recognition technology providing access to the car parks without the need for a physical ticket.
The parking announcement comes ahead of WSI’s opening on Sunday, 25 October, when passenger services are due to begin at Australia’s first major greenfield domestic and international airport in more than half a century
